TARGET AUDIENCE
The training course is aimed at sailors and seafarers wishing to learn more about rescuing migrants at sea.
OBJECTIVE
- To provide ship operators, captains and crews with a better understanding of issues related to the rescue of migrants at sea.
- To cover legal and regulatory compliance with maritime conventions concerning the rescue of persons in distress.
- Advise on preparing a vessel to receive and manage rescued migrants.
- Identify potential threats to the vessel and crew once migrants have been rescued.
- Advise on the handling and disembarkation of rescued migrants.
PREREQUISITES
None
TEACHING METHOD
The training session takes place entirely online (Full Online - FOAD), with a dedicated SURTYMAR pedagogical referent and technical referent, and via a Learning Management System (LMS).
DURATION
1 hour of training, including practical test to validate skills.
AUDITORY
1 access per person
TRAINER
Pedagogical support is provided by a consultant with expertise and experience in implementing the knowledge and concepts taught.
Technical support is provided by a technical advisor.
EVALUATION

Final evaluation of 10 questions.

Certificate awarded with 60% correct answers.

Test can be reset until passed.

CERTIFICATION OF TRAINING
A certificate of awareness of the rescue of migrants at sea will be issued by the Agency to the candidate within a week and in digital format after completion.
