Introduction: Presentation of the trainees, identification of the group's level of knowledge and the expectations of each trainee, and presentation of the teaching method adapted to the context of the session by the trainer. The trainer then presents the training objectives and the following program:
- The ISM Code and maritime safety
- Responsibilities and obligations of the parties
- Application of the Code to operations
- Emergency situations
- Ship and equipment maintenance
- General principle of ISM audit and ISM audit
- The auditor, audit preparation and planning
- Practical applications
- Study of an SMS
Conclusion: Questions/answers, consolidation and evaluation of acquired knowledge, training assessment and evaluation

TARGET AUDIENCE
Onboard and shore-based management personnel involved in safety management within a shipping company: officers, safety/security/quality managers, technical executives, etc.
OBJECTIVE
- Acquire knowledge and understanding of the ISM Code and its requirements
- Understand the operational and technical aspects of safety management: drawing up procedures, including emergency and maintenance procedures, and their traceability
PREREQUISITES
ISM 1 preferred
TEACHING METHOD
The training course is led by a SURTYMAR trainer, using a PowerPoint presentation and discussions with trainees. Technical simulations will be carried out (see specific equipment used).
DURATION
20 hours of training (3 days), including validation test
AUDITORY
12 trainees maximum (no minimum)
TRAINER
This training course is led and supervised by a trainer with expertise and experience in implementing the knowledge and concepts taught. The trainer's CV is available on request.
