PFS1 - Port security awareness (ISPS)

Introduction: Presentation of the trainees, identification of the group's level of knowledge and the expectations of each trainee, and presentation of the teaching method adapted to the context of the session by the trainer. The trainer then presents the training objectives and the following program:

The difference between safety and security
Maritime and port security
Meaning and implications of different security levels
Identification and detection of weapons, dangerous substances and devices
Identifying the characteristics and behavior of people who are likely to threaten security
Techniques used to circumvent security measures

Conclusion: Questions/answers, consolidation and evaluation of acquired knowledge, training assessment and evaluation.

FOR PARTICIPANTS

To ensure the effectiveness of this training course, trainees should be aware of the conditions under which it will be carried out before the start of the course. These are set out in this training description and in the trainee's welcome booklet (procedures, applicable hygiene rules, disciplinary rules and applicable sanctions).

CAPELEM is aimed at all port and PI personnel with no specific security-related responsibilities or tasks.

Raise staff awareness of port security issues and ISPS Code standards

PREREQUISITES

None

TEACHING METHOD

The session is led by a SURTYMAR trainer with a PowerPoint presentation and a discussion with the trainees.

DURATION

4 hours of training, including a verbal test to validate skills and 1 15-minute break

AUDITORY

15 trainees maximum (no minimum)

TRAINER

This training course is led and supervised by a trainer with expertise and experience in implementing the knowledge and concepts taught. The trainer's CV is available on request.
