Introduction: Presentation of the trainees, identification of the group's level of knowledge and the expectations of each trainee, and presentation of the teaching method adapted to the context of the session by the trainer. The trainer then presents the training objectives and the following program:
- Knowledge of current security threats and their various forms;
- Regulations ;
- Identification and detection of weapons, dangerous substances and devices;
- Identifying the characteristics and behavior of people who are likely to threaten security;
- Techniques used to circumvent security measures;
- Personnel management and control techniques;
- Safety-related communications;
- Operation of safety equipment and systems;
- Testing, calibration and maintenance of safety equipment and systems
- Inspection, control and surveillance techniques;
- Theoretical approach to physical searches of persons (security palpations), personal effects, baggage and packages, cargo during loading and ship's stores during boarding.
Conclusion: Questions/answers, consolidation and evaluation of acquired knowledge, training assessment and evaluation.
FOR PARTICIPANTS
To ensure the effectiveness of this training course, the trainee must, before the start of the course, be familiar with the conditions for carrying out this training session, as defined in this training description and in the Trainee's Welcome Booklet (Terms and Conditions, Applicable Hygiene Rules, Disciplinary Rules and Sanctions).

PUBLIC CONCERNED
CAPSUP is compulsory for all port and P.I. personnel with specific security responsibilities or tasks (guarding, human surveillance, access control, screening, baggage inspection, palpation, rounds, patrols....).
OBJECTIVE
The aim is to raise staff awareness of port security issues and knowledge of ISPS Code standards.
PREREQUISITES
No prerequisites.
TEACHING METHOD
The training session is led by a SURTYMAR trainer with a PowerPoint presentation and discussion with trainees.
DURATION
7 hours of training, including a written test and 2 15-minute breaks.
AUDITORY
12 trainees maximum (no minimum).
TRAINER
This training course is led and supervised by a trainer with expertise and experience in implementing the knowledge and concepts taught.
