TARGET AUDIENCE
This training course is aimed at incumbents and alternates already in safety management positions, seeking to strengthen their expertise and operational safety culture, or wishing to acquire the level of safety director at country, subsidiary or project level. The course is also aimed at project managers, department heads (particularly HSE or QHSE), people undergoing retraining, and any personnel wishing to acquire or reinforce a safety or maritime safety culture.
No pre-qualification is required to follow this course.
OBJECTIVE
- Provide effective advice to management on safety and maritime security.
- Develop security strategies and concepts to protect personnel, sites and operations on land and at sea.
- Implement preventive safety measures.
- Organize and manage a safety department.
- Conduct security assessments on land and at sea, and strengthen risk and vulnerability analysis methods.
- Monitor security (collect, analyze and protect security information).
- Draft safety documents (Plans - Procedures - Reports - Audits).
- Adapt alert levels to changes in the security situation.
- Monitor safety measures in place and rectify any identified needs.
- Respond to critical or emergency situations.
- Select a private security company for onshore or offshore support.
- Select vessels for security missions

TEACHING METHOD
The training session is led by SURTYMAR trainers, all French Special Forces graduates who, after a career in the armed forces, have held safety management positions at country, subsidiary and project level for over 15 years in high-risk areas, both on land and at sea.
The alternation of theoretical and practical modules, which place trainees in operational situations as close as possible to real-life situations, makes this training innovative and unique.
Simple exercises are programmed to assess comprehension and adapt learning methods where appropriate.
Each module is reinforced by concrete case studies.
DURATION
38 hours of training, including 5 hours of interactive sessions.
AUDITORY
12 trainees maximum. (no minimum).
TRAINER
This training course is led and supervised by trainers with expertise and experience in implementing the knowledge and concepts taught. Trainers' CVs are available on request.
