SSO - Ship Security Officer (ASN)

Introduction: Presentation of the trainees, identification of the group's level of knowledge and the expectations of each trainee, and presentation of the teaching method adapted to the context of the session by the trainer. The trainer then presents the training objectives and the following program:

Module A - Regulations (duration 3 hours)
Module B - Prevention of illegal acts (11 hours)
- a. Sub-module B 1 - Search (duration 3 hours)
- b. Sub-module B2 - Vessel protection (4 hours)
- c. Sub-module B3 - Access control (4 hours)
Module C - Risk assessment, security assessment (3 hours)
Module D - Ship Security Plan (2 hours)
Module E- Training (1 hour)
Module F - Audit (1 hour)

Conclusion: Questions/answers, consolidation and evaluation of acquired knowledge, assessment and evaluation of training.

FOR PARTICIPANTS

To ensure the effectiveness of this training course, trainees should be aware of the conditions under which it will be carried out before the start of the session. PRESENTIAL

TARGET AUDIENCE

This training course is intended for permanent or substitute security officers on board ships subject to the ISPS Code.

OBJECTIVE

To ensure the security of the ship and the implementation of the ship security plan with the human and material resources available to the ship.

PREREQUISITES

Up-to-date seafarers' medical examination

TEACHING METHOD

The training is led by a SURTYMAR trainer with a PowerPoint presentation and a discussion with the trainees.

DURATION

21 hours of training, including practical test to validate skills and 6 15-minute breaks

AUDITORY

10 trainees maximum (no minimum)

TRAINER

This training course is led and supervised by a trainer with expertise and experience in implementing the knowledge and concepts taught.
